History of the Boksburg Historical Association
The inaugural meeting of the Boksburg Historical Association was held on the 5th August 1993.
The first elected committee comprised:

With the blessing of the Town Council, it was agreed to use the old Boksburg Municipal Seal which was used by the municipality until 1957, as our logo.
Our aims and objectives
To collect and preserve the history of the City and it’s people
To promote and stimulate interest in history –locally, nationally and internationally
To arrange tours to places of historic and/or scenic value
To arrange meetings where documentary films could be shown and/or where guest speakers could enlighten and (hopefully) entertain us!
To issue a monthly newsletter.
Meetings
Meetings are currently held on the first Saturday of every month, except January, at the Alan Woodrow Park Retirement Village at 14h00 for 14h30
